1. (Creon arrives and tells Oedipus that Laius was murdered. Oedipus responds by asking many questions about who they were. Creon responds to this). "Here in Thebes, so said the god. What is sought is found, but what is overlooked escapes". The people would have never thought that their savior killed the king. That is why the god told Creon whatever happens to be pushed aside or overlooked escapes.
2. During the conversation between Teiresias and Oedipus,"He will be blind, although he now can see. He will be a poor, although he now is rich. He will set off for a foreign country". the blind prophet also says the killer is a native Theban. He will not be happy to hear of that though. This is the best example of foreshadowing in this play. Teiresias is predicting everything in this play.
